VISION

To enable Türkiye’s fashion design industry to become a distinctive “school” that plays a defining role in shaping global fashion movements, with a focus on sustainability, digital transformation and the creative industries.

To transform Istanbul-centered Türkiye into a global “Fashion Design Hub” that treats the city itself as a design object and brings its cultural layers together with a contemporary design approach.

To bring the value-creating role of design to the attention of national and international audiences through new-generation media and communication channels.

To position fashion design not merely as an aesthetic field of production, but as a strategic creative industry connected with culture, the economy, technology and social transformation.

To contribute to giving local values a distinctive identity on the global fashion stage by combining Türkiye’s textile, craftsmanship and production heritage with a contemporary design language.

To develop a design ecosystem unique to Türkiye by following the education, mentorship, sustainability and internationalization approaches adopted by fashion councils and designer associations around the world.

To lead the creation of an inclusive, accessible and developmental industry structure in which young designers, independent brands and creative initiatives can gain visibility.

To encourage ethical production, the circular economy, resource efficiency and responsible consumption to become shared values across the fashion design industry.

To help prepare the industry for the future by following the opportunities that digitalization, artificial intelligence, next-generation production technologies and data-driven design processes bring to fashion design.

To position Istanbul’s multilayered cultural memory as a living source of inspiration for designers and as an internationally recognized creative center.

To put forward a long-term vision that supports stronger, more consistent and sustainable representation of Turkish fashion design on international platforms.

MISSION

To create strong collaborations by bringing together industry players seeking to become “Creative Brands” with designers seeking to be “original and innovative” on digital and physical platforms.

To develop and promote the professional definition and standards of the Turkish fashion design industry in line with ethical values and sustainable production principles.

To archive Turkish fashion history and its designers, support designers in establishing a presence in domestic and international markets, and contribute to the development of the industry through interdisciplinary collaborations.

To create suitable platforms for education, talks, mentorship, workshops and knowledge-sharing programs that support the professional development of designers.

To develop sustainable channels of collaboration among fashion designers, manufacturers, academics, communication professionals, cultural institutions and the creative industries.

To facilitate designers’ access to knowledge in areas such as brand management, collection development, digital visibility and preparation for international markets.

To strengthen the prestige of the fashion design profession in Türkiye and create shared awareness regarding professional rights and ethical principles.

To develop inclusive platforms, selections, gatherings and visibility opportunities that support the participation of young and independent designers in the industry.

Creating awareness among industry stakeholders so that the sector can prepare for a more responsible, innovative and sustainable future is among our core priorities.

To strengthen fashion design’s relationship with different disciplines.

To create new opportunities for knowledge sharing, joint project development and the promotion of Türkiye’s design ecosystem.

To build a lasting memory that makes the past, present and future of Turkish fashion design visible through exhibitions, panels and research activities.
